Deadline: Registrations must be postmarked by April 23, 2006.

--Lunch on Saturday may be purchased at local area restaurants.

--If you are requesting local housing, remember to bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and other overnight necessities.

Info: We would like to do two divisions if enough teams register. Please indicate number of teams and which division preferred. We would also like to have a quote off if there are enough individuals interested.

Greetings to all who love quizzing, and find themselves on the other side of the age bracket:

Let’s once again get together for some adult quizzing competition! We will be competing over chapters 1-5 of James.

The only restriction to competing is that you must be ineligible to quiz in the normal quiz league. That is, you must be over 21, or married. The reason for this rule is just to encourage quizzers to stay in teen quizzing as long as possible, so this year we will also allow college students, under age 21, to take part, provided they have already chosen to be out of quizzing for one year.

The intent of this tournament is to bring the old teams back together, or to allow others who have an interest in quizzing to enjoy a weekend of fellowship and competition. We have developed the following guidelines for establishing teams.

You may compete with a team if:

< You quizzed with that team in the past;

< You are currently attending that church;

< You have attended that church for at least one year, sometime in the past.

You may compete in rookie division if:

< You are a true rookie quizzers

< You are an adult with little experience as a teen quizzer

< You have finished (or believe you would finish) in the bottom 25% of an experienced division.

We have received a few inquiries about combining people from different churches to form a team. This is usually because there are one or two people from one church who would like to compete, but not enough to fill out a team. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to be involved in this tournament, so we would expect that some combining will be necessary.

However, we want to avoid the temptation to "stack" teams. Please work with us on this. This should not be construed as an opportunity to pull in all of the best quizzers that were ever in your district and put together a "super-team". As a guideline, try to follow the rules established for regular quizzing. If a person wants to quiz, and does not have a team at their church, they may join with a team from the next closest church that has a team.

You may quiz with only two people on a team.

We are looking forward to seeing you on May 12&13 at Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky, MI. Please return the registration by April 23, 2006. Let us know if you have any questions.

Also, please complete the Housing Request Form, and send it to the address listed, if you want housing with the Open Door church families. Housing will be limited on a first come first served basis. Alternatively, there are some phone numbers listed for nearby motels, if that is your preference.
